Project Description

This commercial case study was to refurbish the entire external elevations of the building, which included removing, and installing over 300 bricks and taking down damaged render to the front elevation. This work had to be carried out as the bricks had become badly eroded due to frost and water penetration.

Our brief was to remove the bricks and reinstall matching bricks, however, once the project started it was evident that the bricks were too weak and began to crumble. We decided with the client to remove the front elevation and rebuild certain areas, during these works we also blocked up a large access door area and reception door on the front elevation, we then removed the brick mortar and re-pointed the entire front elevation. Our second stage was to construct a new single storey side extension to become the new delivers entrance.

Our services included: Structural works, demolition, brick match service and brickwork installation, new build extension work, exterior brick acid cleaning, re-pointing works, new fascia and guttering, exterior decorating, security shutter installation and steel fabrication for the new handrails.
